We are delighted to offer you the opportunity to create balance, stability and health by incorporating the principles of yoga into your fitness program.

Yoga is an ancient system of relaxation, awareness and rejuvenation that uses gentle movement, postures, breathing, relaxation and meditation as a means to reach physical and emotional health.

The postures strengthen, stretch and tone the entire body, including the internal organs. Proper breathing brings energy and vitality and calms the mind. Relaxation and meditation relieve stress and rejuvenates memory and thinking.

Yoga poses work by safely stretching your muscles, releasing the lactic acid that builds up with muscle use and causes stiffness, tension, pain, and fatigue. In addition, yoga increases the range of motion in joints. It may also increase lubrication in the joints. The outcome is a sense of ease and fluidity throughout your body.

One rape or sexual assault occurs every two minutes. In 2010 there were 565,692 people under 21 years old that went missing, 54% were women.

The Department of Justice reports 114,000 attempted abductions each year. 172 Women are physically and/or sexually assaulted every hour!

Annually in the US there are 248,300 victims of rape, attempted rape, or sexual assault. 2.8 % of college women experienced rape in a six month U.S. Department of Justice study.

One murder occurs every 34 minutes.
